JIPP Admission 2026

 

1. The online application portal for Early Admission will be available from November 27 to December 26, 2025.

2. The online application portal for Admission will be open from March 2-31, 2026.
3. The online application portal for International Admission (Round 1) will be available from December 22, 2025, to February 6, 2026.
4. The online application portal for International Admission (Round 2) will be available from March 20 to May 1, 2026.

Admission Requirements to JIPP

• Thai Central Admission System (TCAS)

Please register in the Thai Central Admission System (TCAS) system.

 Applicant qualifications

  1. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age by May of the year of enrollment at Chulalongkorn University.
  2. Applicants must have completed transcript or be currently enrolled in their final year of secondary school (Mathayom 6). Applicants with Grade 12 in the US system, Year 13 in the British system, or GED as an equivalent to high school (M6) will be also taken into consideration.

Applicants with a foreign high school diploma or those applying with a GED, AP, IB, or other qualifications from abroad must provide a Certificate of Equivalency (https://hsces.atc.chula.ac.th).

 

Entry Requirement

The Entry Requirements are divided into two categories, and applicants must submit scores for both.

1. English Proficiency Test
Applicants must submit a score from one of the following English proficiency tests:
1.1 TOEFL iBT (Internet-Based Test): Minimum total score of 88, with at least 19 in Listening, Reading, and Speaking, and 21 in Writing; OR
1.2 IELTS: Minimum overall score of 6.5, with no band lower than 6.0. Please contact the test center to send the official electronic Score Report to JIPP; OR

2. Academic Aptitude Test
Applicants must submit a score from one of the following tests:
2.1 SAT (Math and Evidence-Based Reading and Writing): Minimum total score of 1200; OR
2.2 CU-AAT (Chulalongkorn University Academic Aptitude Test): Combined Verbal and Math section score of at least 1200. For more information, please visit https://atc.chula.ac.th/Main/en/home_th-english/

 

**The scores must come from the test taken on the same date, and they must be the scores from the test taken no more than 2 years prior to the application deadline.

How to apply for the JIPP Program

Before applying to the JIPP program through the online portal, applicants must prepare the following documents: (1) transcripts or equivalent qualifications, such as M6 transcripts, (2) English proficiency test scores, such as CU-TEP, IELTS, or TOEFL, and (3) attitude test scores, such as SAT or CU-AAT scores.

 

Please note that for IELTS, TOEFT and SAT scores, applicants must request the test center or College Board to send the electronic scores directly to JIPP.

For TOEFL iBT: Please send Score Report to JIPP using the code: 7203

For SAT: Please send Score Report via College Board to JIPP using the code: 7433

 

Selection Criteria for Admission (100%) 

Criteria for Shortlisting Applicants for Interview

  1. The number of shortlisted applicants will be twice the number of available seats.

  2. Selection will be based on the following:

    • SAT: 60%

    • IELTS / TOEFL / CU-TEP: 40%

The final score will be determined by the following weights:

    • SAT or CU-AAT: 40% (approx.)
    • IELTS or TOEFL or CU-TEP: 30% (approx.)
    • Onsite Interview: 30%

 

Please note that there are adjustments to the admission criteria, effective from the 2026 admissions intake (applications will open around November 2025). The changes are as follows:

  1. IB and AP scores will no longer be accepted for admission.
  2. The minimum SAT score requirement will increase from 1100 to 1200.
  3. The minimum CU-AAT score requirement will increase from 1030 to 1200.
  4. The number of candidates invited to the interview stage will be limited to twice the number of available seats in each round, based on SAT scores and IELTS scores (or TOEFL or CU-TEP)
  5. The minimum scores for IELTS, TOEFL (Internet-based), and CU-TEP will remain unchanged.

The Cost of the Application

Application Fee is 1,000 Baht per application.
